THE 3 REDEMPTIVE GIFTS THAT GOD GAVE TO HIS PEOPLE

THE GIFT OF THE ANOINTING
1 Samuel 16:13
Then Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the midst of his brothers; and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel arose and went to Ramah.(NKJV)

The oil is the symbol of the Holy Spirit. The oil consecrates a person and makes him a landing place for the Holy Spirit. Samuel anointed David with oil and his life changed. Anointing brings supernatural wisdom. It was anointing that changed the life of Solomon. Anointing breaks the York.

God anoints men because there are problems in life that money, doctor, business and so on cannot solve. 80% of life problems are spiritual. There are things that medicine, doctors, masters cannot handle. What fire does to wax that is what anointing does to demons. Anointing cannot be fake.  The family of God is a royal family and you don’t look down on anyone.

70% of the work of God has been dedicated to men and only 30% are done by the Holy Spirit. God rules over two hundred billion galaxies. God assigns beings that govern each galaxy he made. There are beings that look after the animal kingdom, vegetation and so on. He made man (Adam) to govern the universe. As long as you don’t rebel against the authority of God, everything on earth will obey you. Adam lost the dominion and God sent the second Adam (Jesus) to restore it. What Adam lost has been restored by the cross of Jesus. Why did the son of God come in form of flesh? So that he can pull out all the people from the power of devil. Jesus disowned, disarmed, disabled, defeated and disgraced satan.

Hebrews 2:15
and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.(NKJV)

3 REDEMPTIVE GIFTS THAT GOD GAVE TO HIS PEOPLE
1. JESUS – This is the gift of salvation. Jesus is the only one mediator between God and man. There is no other person claiming to be the way but Jesus. There is no salvation in any other way apart from Jesus. God made Jesus our attorney that defends us when satan accuses us before God. Jesus is the greatest gift God has given us.

2. THE HOLY SPIRIT – This is the gift of the power of God. The moment Jesus ascended into Heaven God appointed another member of the trinity to take over the earth.  The Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost and he has lived here over 2000 years. His job is to enforce the benefits of the cross. 2000 years ago Jesus defeated the devil but the one who heals and deliver people today is the Holy Spirit. The Christian life is impossible without the Holy Spirit. When he fills your life, the Christian life becomes easy.  The power to lead the Christian life is found in the Holy Spirit. Christians who do not experience the Holy Spirit are doing little. If you carry the Holy Ghost and the name of Jesus you can enforce the scripture. The most important gift that God has given to us is the Holy Spirit. He goes to where he is invited.

3. THE MINISTRY GIFT – The gift of prophets. All of us are gifts but if you don’t honour the 3 gifts you will degenerate. If you are Elijah, God will put Elisha in your life. Pastors are gifts that God gave to man. Ministry gifts began to arrive here on earth the day the Holy Spirit arrived. God committed 70% of His work to men and the rest 30% are done by the Holy Spirit. If you believe in God for the rest of your life and ignore the one He sent, you will die without your liberty. The most important institution God has set on earth is the church. The direction comes from the head but the church does the execution.

Ephesians 4:8 says: Therefore He says: "When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men."(NKJV)

Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,(NKJV)

One of the reasons for this gift is to teach people and bring understanding to them.
Trees represent people and nations but when God uses only one tree he is talking about anointing.  Problems become solutions by the anointing.  God makes men olive trees to keep the anointing on earth. God placed men of God on earth so as to supply the anointing to solve problems. The only counter force that God put on earth is ministry gift.

John 4:9 Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, "How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?" For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.(NKJV)

All the woman of Samaria could see is racism and tribalism. How you perceive your prophet determines your returns. She later saw Jesus as a prophet when Jesus told her she has lived with up to 5 husbands. But Jesus was more than a prophet. How you honour your prophet is dependent on your perception and this determines the kind of demand you can place on the gift.

THREE MAJOR OFFICES IN THE OLD TESTAMENT

Anointing of the Holy Spirit stands for empowerment

The three people anointed by God in the Old Testament are:
1. THE KING
A king stands for a political leader. One of the things that Christianity puts in you is the sense of patriotism. You should have respect for political leaders.

Even if a political leader knows what he is doing or not, he is anointed servant of God. Politicians are also servants of God because there is no power but of God.
Romans 13:1 says: Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.(KJV)

What is a political leader suppose to do?
First, a political leader should reward the right thing. Power is given for the dispensation of justice.

Romans 13:4 says: For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to [execute] wrath upon him that doeth evil.(KJV)

There is a reason for the sword in the bible. There is death penalty in the bible.

2. THE SECOND PERSON ANOINTED BY GOD IS THE PRIEST
One of the most important things that the priest put on is the ephod. There are 12 stones on the ephod which represents the whole nation of Israel. He carries these stones on his chaste because he carries a burden of the people. Burden is carried on the chaste. A priest is a person who represents the people before God. Jesus offered blood for us for our cleansing. That is one of the highest priestly ministry of Jesus.

3. THE THIRD PERSON ANOINTED BY GOD IS THE PROPHET
Who is a prophet? He is the mouth piece of God. Anybody that is the mouth piece of God before you is a prophet.

Acts 10:38 says: how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.(NKJV)

Mark 6:1-3 says: Then He went out from there and came to His own country, and His disciples followed Him. And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And many hearing Him were astonished, saying, "Where did this Man get these things? And what wisdom is this which is given to Him, that such mighty works are performed by His hands! Is this not the carpenter, the Son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? And are not His sisters here with us?" So they were offended at Him.(NKJV)

Mark 6:4-5 says: But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house." Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them.(NKJV)

Jesus did not have the capacity to do much work in His own country because his people had the wrong perception of him. The perception you have of your prophet determines what you get from him. Judas betrayed Jesus because of the perception he had of him.

3 Things You Can Do To A Servant Of God.
The right thing is to receive him as a servant of God. Another thing you could do is to despise him or reject him. Your perception of the prophet of God determines your harvest.

Galatians 4:14 says: And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.(NKJV)

Here, they received Apostle Paul as an angel. That is the highest level of recognition. They did not see anything bad in him. They saw the problems or illness that deformed him but they still honoured and respected him.

3 DIFFERENT LEVELS AT WHICH PEOPLE SHOW HONOUR
The level at which you show honour determines the level of your harvest.
1. The first level is when you show honour after a man of God has been a blessing to you.
2. Second, when you understand what a man of God is even without seeing him. This type of honour comes by revelation
3. Honouring a servant of God in the middle of his trial. When you hear for example that a pastor has committed fornication somewhere, do you go about criticizing him?
Remember he is a man of God. You don’t limit yourself by accessing first humanity in him. You should see divinity first before humanity. The best of men are still men at their very best. If somebody is a representative of God, there is a level you place him. To genuinely reach men, you must be free from all men.

Apostle Paul said in Galatians 4:15 What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me.(NKJV)

This is the level of their commitment. The perception you have of your prophet determines your reward from him.

WHAT DOES A PROPHET STAND FOR?
1. A PROPHET IS AN AGENT OF DELIVERANCE AND PRESERVATION.
A man of God is also a Christian but what differentiate him from other Christians is the anointing upon which is given for an office or service. The first miracle that Jesus performed was in a wedding at Canaan. He did this when the Holy Spirit came upon him. He was as much the son of God at age 30 as he was at age 3, while didn’t he perform the anointing then? This is because there is difference between anointing upon and anointing within.
The biggest enemy of revelation is tradition and the biggest enemy of anointing is familiarity. Jesus could not do much in his country because his people were familiar to him.

A prophet is a tool that god uses to cause deliverance

Isaiah 63:11-12 says: Then he remembered the days of old, Moses and his people, saying: "Where is He who brought them up out of the sea With the shepherd of His flock? Where is He who put His Holy Spirit within them, Who led them by the right hand of Moses, With His glorious arm, Dividing the water before them To make for Himself an everlasting name,(NKJV)

2. A PROPHET IS AN AGENT OF REWARD
God is not preparing anything for us. He is preparing us to what he has for us. It will cost Him nothing to turn your situation around; the Bible said the earth is the Lord’s and its fullness thereof. But will you remain the same when he gives u that.

2 Kings 4:8-17 says: Now it happened one day that Elisha went to Shunem, where there was a notable woman, and she persuaded him to eat some food. So it was, as often as he passed by, he would turn in there to eat some food. And she said to her husband, "Look now, I know that this is a holy man of God, who passes by us regularly. Please, let us make a small upper room on the wall; and let us put a bed for him there, and a table and a chair and a lampstand; so it will be, whenever he comes to us, he can turn in there." And it happened one day that he came there, and he turned in to the upper room and lay down there. Then he said to Gehazi his servant, "Call this Shunammite woman." When he had called her, she stood before him. And he said to him, "Say now to her, 'Look, you have been concerned for us with all this care. What can I do for you? Do you want me to speak on your behalf to the king or to the commander of the army?"' She answered, "I dwell among my own people." So he said, "What then is to be done for her?" And Gehazi answered, "Actually, she has no son, and her husband is old." So he said, "Call her." When he had called her, she stood in the doorway. Then he said, "About this time next year you shall embrace a son." And she said, "No, my lord. Man of God, do not lie to your maidservant!" But the woman conceived, and bore a son when the appointed time had come, of which Elisha had told her.(NKJV)

You do not have a need as long as you have a seed.

3. A PROPHET IS AN AGENT OF PROGRESS

Ezra 5:1-2 says: Then the prophet Haggai and Zechariah the son of Iddo, prophets, prophesied to the Jews who were in Judah and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them. So Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak rose up and began to build the house of God which is in Jerusalem; and the prophets of God were with them, helping them.(NKJV)

Ezra 6:14 says: So the elders of the Jews built, and they prospered through the prophesying of Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the son of Iddo. And they built and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the command of Cyrus, Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia.(NKJV)

Syrians attempted to invade Jerusalem. They blocked the water supply and there was no water for cultivation and the animals in Jerusalem were dying. The level of famine was so high that even women were eating their children. There were four leprous men who were there and they said if they stay there, they will die and they decided to go to the land of Syria and as they got there, everywhere was deserted and they found lots of things to ate. They went to tell the king and the king thought the Syrians ran away.  Elisha made a declaration and prophesied over the nation of Israel. The bible said that after the prophet of God has made a declaration, four men were matching to Serial and as they were going God energized their footsteps and they sounded like a battalion.

2 Kings 7:1-2 says: Then Elisha said, "Hear the word of the LORD. Thus says the LORD: 'Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria."' So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the LORD would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?" And he said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it."(NKJV)

2 Kings 7:16-17 says: Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the LORD. Now the king had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate. But the people trampled him in the gate, and he died, just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.(NKJV)

4. A PROPHET IS AN AGENT OF PROSPERITY.

5. A PROPHET IS A CUSTODIAN OF DIVINE SECRECY

Amos 3:7 says: Surely the Lord GOD does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.(NKJV)

By teaching and guiding you, they commit God’s principles to your hand.

QUALITIES OF AN ACCEPTABLE OFFERING BEFORE GOD

If you are born again, what you will have in your heart is that God should be happy with you.
1John 3:14 says: One way to test your born again is through your attitude towards others. A genuine born again Christian will have the passion for God to love him.

If you are born again and have the holy spirit inside you, you will have the passion to please God above all things.
Galatians 2:10 says: They desired only that we should remember the poor, the very thing which I also was eager to do.(NKJV)

When you give your life to Christ, your desires dries up. Though this does not happen to every person. As you have the desire of your flesh, you will have another thing pulling you to another direction. If you get born again and you don’t desire to read your bible or fellowship with the brethren, your salvation may not be real because salvation is meant to change you from the inside.

Philippians 2:12 says: Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out YOUR OWN SALVATION with fear and trembling;(NKJV)

The bible cannot deliver you, what delivers you is the word in your heart. God’s word is powerful, when it gets into your heart and come out of your mouth great things happens.

Hebrews 4:12 says: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.(NKJV)

QUALITIES OF AN ACCEPTABLE OFFERING BEFORE GOD

1. HAVE AN ATTITUDE THAT PLEASES GOD.
Hebrews 11:17 says: By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises offered up his only begotten son,(NKJV)

2. Malachi 1:6 says: "A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the LORD of hosts To you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, 'In what way have we despised Your name?'(NKJV)

Malachi 1:7-8 says: "You offer defiled food on My altar, But say, 'In what way have we defiled You?' By saying, 'The table of the LORD is contemptible.' And when you offer the blind as a sacrifice, Is it not evil? And when you offer the lame and sick, Is it not evil? Offer it then to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you favorably?" Says the LORD of hosts.(NKJV)

Can anyone offer a bad gift to someone who helps him or her?  You have to offer to God with reverence. You must offer to God what is prepared in advance because it is an art of worship. A sacrifice is measured by what you kept back to yourself after you gave it.

Malachi 1:14 says: "But cursed be the deceiver Who has in his flock a male, And takes a vow, But sacrifices to the Lord what is blemished-- For I am a great King," Says the LORD of hosts, "And My name is to be feared among the nations.(NKJV)

Proverbs 11:24 says: There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.(NKJV)

2. GIVE IN THE SPIRIT OF STEWARDSHIP:
What was given to you was given to multiply and glorify God.
There is no law of productivity like the law of ownership. You are going to give account for the words you speak the Bible said. If you are going to give account of the words you speak, what about what was committed to your hands. God has not given us any resource to expend on ourselves.

Psalm 50:6-12 says: Let the heavens declare His righteousness, For God Himself is Judge. Selah "Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you; I am God, your God! I will not rebuke you for your sacrifices Or your burnt offerings, Which are continually before Me. I will not take a bull from your house, Nor goats out of your folds. For every beast of the forest is Mine, And the cattle on a thousand hills. I know all the birds of the mountains, And the wild beasts of the field are Mine. "If I were hungry, I would not tell you; For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.(NKJV)

You are just a custodian of what is given to you.

1 Chronicles 29:10-12 says: Therefore David blessed the LORD before all the assembly; and David said: "Blessed are You, LORD God of Israel, our Father, forever and ever. Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, And You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great And to give strength to all.(NKJV)

This is the secret  of David’s success. David understands that promotion, success and everything comes from God. In other words, giving to God is a privilege. When a believer goes with the world mentality which is get all you can, he misses his direction because this is not the plan of God.

1 Chronicles 29:14-15 says: But who am I, and who are my people, That we should be able to offer so willingly as this? For all things come from You, And of Your own we have given You. For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are as a shadow, And without hope.(NKJV)

Everything you have now is to equip yourself for what will come in the future.
Jesus said in Luke 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?(KJV)

3. GIVE JOYFULLY
Deuteronomy 15:7-8 says: If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother: But thou shalt open thine hand wide unto him, and shalt surely lend him sufficient for his need, [in that] which he wanteth.(KJV)

4. GIVE WILLINGLY:
1 Chronicles 29:9 says: Then the people rejoiced, for they had offered willingly, because with a loyal heart they had offered willingly to the LORD; and King David also rejoiced greatly.(NKJV)

1 Chronicles 29:17 says: I know also, my God, that You test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things; and now with joy I have seen Your people, who are present here to offer willingly to You.(NKJV)

Why is it important to offer willingly? You must offer willingly because that is the way you will get your reward. This is because God checks our heart.

1 Corinthians 9:16-17 says: For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship.(NKJV)

Anything you are willing to do will be one of the major things that will ensure you get your reward.

2 Corinthians 8:12 says: For if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.(NKJV)

The Bible says there must be a willing mind. If you offer willingly and obediently, you will eat the fruit of the land. If you are willing to give anything to God, it shows you’ve conquered Marmon

5. GIVE SACRIFICIALLY
Give according the size of your vision, according to what you are believing God for.
Psalm 126:5-6 says: Those who sow in tears Shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, Bearing seed for sowing, Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, Bringing his sheaves with him.(NKJV)

6. GIVE BY FAITH
The bible said it is impossible to please God without faith. You must give by faith and believe God for a harvest. The only investment you have for your future is your seed.
