Revelation 12:10 says: Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,
"Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of
His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before
our God day and night, has been cast down.(NKJV)
Where there is sin, satan manifests, but when
the accuser of the brethren is taken care of, there will be strength and power.
You cannot exercise dominion over satan when there is sin.
There are three grounds of satan’s accusation
but the blood takes care of them. There are weapons that God has given us to
conquer satan, one is the blood of the lamb, second testimony and third
sacrifice.
The sin of Adam had three different places it
had affected. First, the sin of Adam affected God and heaven. God usually come
down and fellowship with Adam, God created man so that He can commune with man.
Sin tempered God’s fellowship with man.
Hebrews 9:22 says: And according to the law almost all things are purified
with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.(NKJV)
Sin is not a product of your action. It is the
product of your constitution; it is not who you are but what you do.
Hebrews 9:23 says; Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the
things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things
themselves with better sacrifices than these.(NKJV)
Romans 3:9 says: What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we
have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin.(NKJV)
The Jews could not associate with people who are
not Jews; they believed they were better than them. Apostle Paul was asking them
whether they are better than others.
Gentiles are people that are not Jews and they
are not in the church. Before Jesus Christ came, Apostle Paul was talking about
the condition of humanity. Is true that God had a special arrangement with the
Jews but because He is God every human being is equal before him.
Romans 3:10-12 says: As it is written: "There is none righteous, no,
not one; There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God. They
have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none
who does good, no, not one."(NKJV)
Even with our best intentions, there is none who
seeks God. This is what the sin of Adam caused.
Romans 3:13-20 says: "Their throat is an open tomb; With their
tongues they have practiced deceit"; "The poison of asps is under
their lips"; "Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."
"Their feet are swift to shed blood; Destruction and misery are in their
ways; And the way of peace they have not known." "There is no fear of
God before their eyes." Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to
those who are under the law, that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world
may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be
justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin.(NKJV)
There is nothing you can do by your power to
gain acceptance by God.
Romans 3:21-23 says: But now the righteousness
of God apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the
Prophets, even the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all
and on all who believe. For there is no difference; for all have sinned and
fall short of the glory of God,(NKJV)
This is the condition of humanity, nobody
escaped this condition.
Hebrews 10:1 says: For the law, having a shadow of the good things to
come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same
sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach
perfect.(NKJV)
Satan always wants us to commit sin because sin
provokes judgment. Sin consciousness has done the greatest damage to humanity. Most
times we go into the body of Christ with this sin consciousness, faith cannot
be exercised with sin consciousness, you cannot overcome satan with sin
consciousness. Therefore there has to be a sacrifice that will take care of sin
consciousness, the Old Testament could not handle this, but the blood of Jesus
was able to completely handle it.
Hebrews 10:21-22 says: and having a High Priest over the house of God, let
us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts
sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.(NKJV)
Sin gave satan a legal ground to become the accuser
of brethren. Sin gave him a legal ground to do what he loves doing which is accusation.
Zechariah 3:1 says: Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing
before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose
him.(NKJV)
What gave satan the boldness to come before God
to accuse Joshua the high priest?
Zechariah 3:3 says: Now Joshua was clothed with
filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.(NKJV)
This was what gave satan the boldness to oppose
Joshua. Sin was responsible for his opposition.
Zechariah 3:4 says: Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before
Him, saying, "Take away the filthy garments from him." And to him He
said, "See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you
with rich robes."(NKJV)
Hebrews 10:5-13 says; Therefore, when He came into the world, He said:
"Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared
for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I
said, 'Behold, I have come-- In the volume of the book it is written of Me-- To
do Your will, O God."' Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering,
burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in
them" (which are offered according to the law), then He said,
"Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first
that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through
the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands
ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never
take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins
forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His
enemies are made His footstool.(NKJV)
In the Old Testament there were different implements
of worship, but there was no chair, this is an implication that the work of the
priest is never finished. But when Christ offered His blood, he sat down before
the Most High because it is finished.
Hebrews 10:14 says: For by one offering He has perfected forever those who
are being sanctified.(NKJV)
After satan’s accusation, Jesus showed up. The blood
of Jesus took care of satan’s accusation and gives us the boldness to enter
into the Holiest. When you make mistakes don’t allow a second to pass you bye,
plead the blood of Jesus for mercy.
Hebrews 10:17-19 says: then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless
deeds I will remember no more." Now where there is remission of these,
there is no longer an offering for sin. Therefore, brethren, having boldness to
enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus,(NKJV)
The second way the blood of Jesus takes care of
sin is by removing sin consciousness. If you know that you have committed sin
the best thing to do is to plead the blood. Whatever issue you find yourself
in, stand your ground and ask God for forgiveness.
