3 Offices anointed by God.
1. Office of
the King: Kings were anointed to serve. They are called ministers of God. There
is a spirit given to them to help their people. There are prayers associates
with this office such as the commanding prayers.
2. Office of the
Priest: The priest represents
the people before God. Intercessory ministry is part of the priestly ministry.
3. Office of the
Prophet: A prophet is any representative of God, whether is an evangelist,
or a pastor. He is the mouth piece of God.
Mark 6:2-5 says:
And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many
hearing [him] were astonished, saying, From whence hath this [man] these
things? and what wisdom [is] this which is given unto him, that even such
mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of
Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his
sisters here with us? And they were offended at him. But Jesus said unto them,
A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin,
and in his own house. And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid
his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed [them].(KJV)
These people were so familiar with Jesus and so the
bible said He could no mighty work in their midst. It is the level of
perception that you have over a servant of God that will determine the amount
of benefit you get from him. The prophet of God is given for your advantage.
2 Corinthians
13:10 says: Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I
should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to
edification, and not to destruction.(KJV)
Every servant of God has the power for edification. This
means that even their words such as “God bless you” has the ability to bring
you up. The glory of God is in their words. Your perception of the servant of
God determines what you get from him.
WHO IS A PROPHET?
Hosea 12:13
says: And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet
was he preserved.(KJV)
A Prophet Is an
Agent of Deliverance,
The servant of God placed over you is an agent of
deliverance over you.
A Prophet Is an
Agent of Preservation. Whatever good
thing you receive from God, your prophet can help you preserve it.
A Prophet Is an
Agent of Blessing.
The Shunammite women received a blessing of a child
when Elisha made a declaration over her. You need a landing path for your
blessings to land. That was what the Shummanite woman did. She sows a seed and her
blessings landed even in her unbelief.
2 Kings 4:8-16
says: And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where [was] a great
woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And [so] it was, [that] as oft as
he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread. And she said unto her husband,
Behold now, I perceive that this [is] an holy man of God, which passeth by us
continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us
set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it
shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither. And it fell on a
day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber, and lay there. And
he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called
her, she stood before him. And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou
hast been careful for us with all this care; what [is] to be done for thee?
wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she
answered, I dwell among mine own people. And he said, What then [is] to be done
for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no child, and her husband is old.
And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door. And
he said, About this season, according to the time of life, thou shalt embrace a
son. And she said, Nay, my lord, [thou] man of God, do not lie unto thine
handmaid.(KJV)
The level of perception you have over your prophet
determines very greatly what you get in return. Whenever you see a servant of
God, don’t leave him without placing a blessing upon you.
7 WAYS TO RELATE
WITH YOUR PASTOR.
Ephesians 4:8
says: Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity
captive, and gave gifts unto men.(KJV)
1. RECEIVE HIM
AS GOD’S GIFT TO YOU:
Galatians 4:14
says: And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you
received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.(NKJV)
This is honor, it does not mean you are worshiping
him. You can have disregard or despise your servant of God. It is possible you
reject him. You can also receive the person.
2. KNOW HIM:
Recognize those
who are above you. recognize the man of God who God has placed over you.
1 Thessalonians
5:12 says: And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you,
and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,(NKJV)
You have to recognize the one laboring for you, the
person that is placed above you, know what he represents. In the realm of the
spirit there is an order.
3. RESPECT AND REVERENCE
HIM:
Honor him more deeply.
1 Thessalonians
5:13 says: and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. Be at
peace among yourselves.(NKJV)
4. PRAY FOR HIM:
2 Thessalonians
3:1 says: Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may run
swiftly and be glorified, just as it is with you,(NKJV)
You need to pray for your prophet because of the
sensitivity of the responsibility placed over him. Pray for favour over him,
for his family, for people to receive him with good heart.
5. SOW INTO HIS
LIFE
Galatians 6:4-6
says: But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in
himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden. Let
him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good
things.(KJV)
This is talking about material things. Share with
him all good things.
6. IMITATE
HIM:
Find out the principles he is applying. Imitate his
conversations and what comes out of him. Watch out for the fruits he is
producing.
Hebrews 6:12
says: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and
patience inherit the promises.(KJV)
Hebrews 13:7
says: Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the
word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of [their]
conversation.(KJV)
7. OBEY HIM:
Hebrews 13:17
says; Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they
watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with
joy, and not with grief: for that [is] unprofitable for you.(KJV)
Obey and listen to his instructions.
